Operations on British front near Bertincourt on 3rd September 1918. For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. On two different occasions on 3rd September Trooper Pritchard with great coolness and daring carried despatches through very heavy enemy shell and machine-gun fire to Brigade Headquarters.
