11847 Legion of Frontiersmen, New Zealand
CITATION
Legion Long Service & Efficiency Medal
Awarded 8 January 1967
Joined the Legion of Frontiersmen in 1911 with the Dargaville Troop, active until 1916 when he went to serve in World War 1. When he returned in 1918 he found the Dargaville unit disbanded and could not find where to rejoin. When he moved to Auckland in 1959 he immediately rejoined with 'E' Squadron. He has always done efficient service, he has acted as Minutes Secretary through to December 1966. It is realised his service has not been continuous, but through no fault of his own and this unit, would like to nominate Frontiersman Brighouse.
