BIRD Harry

Harry Bird was born 8 March 1860 in Bridgewater Somerset, England.  Harry himself was educated in Gloucester.

He left England in 1883 and joined the US Army as a cavalry soldier in 1884 were he served for 11 years for the 5th Cavalry Regiment.

He returned to England in 1895 and lived in Birmingham, where he joined the 25th Battion of the Royal Fusiliers in March 1915 and was wounded at Bukoba and he died 3 weeks later on the 16th July 1915 at the age of 55, and is buried at Kisumu Cemetery, Kenya..
